Dark Skies in Britain are of great importance because it helped people to tell stories. The constellations in the sky would help them remind of these past times. Not only that but also dark skies reduce the light pollution in the air, which is of great benefit to both wildlife and people, but also generating a more aesthetically pleasing sky for us all to enjoy. There are now campaigns set out in order to potentially reduce light pollution in areas of England. 'Dark Matter' aims to add to this ever-growing fascination of the night sky, but also trying to show the negative effects of light pollution, including in more urban areas, an orange haze called 'skyglow'.
